Department of Behavioral and Social Sciences |
The
Department of Behavioral and Social Sciences
focuses on the study of human society and
behavior. Students prepare for graduate studies,
careers and ministry through studies taught from
a Christian perspective. If you are looking for
careers in counseling, law, the justice system,
community and social services, government,
education, research, or business, this is the
department for you. The mission of this
department is to prepare students of these and
other vocations.
A broad liberal arts undergraduate education
should expand students' understanding of their
own historical context, increase their knowledge
of individual behavior, and prepare them for a
rapidly changing social world.
Majors are offered in Psychology and Sociology
with minors in Child and Family Studies,
Counseling, Social Work, Psychology and
Sociology.
