ITALIA: The Art and
Culture of Italy

University’s
Communication & the Arts
Department offers an
“Arts Italia”: Italy Art
& Culture trip every
summer during the May
term. The trip includes
many of the major cities
and cultural sites of
Italy such as the
Vatican and ancient
ruins in Rome,
Michelangelo’s statue of
“David” in Florence, the
leaning tower of Pisa
and the enchanting city
of Venice. Students earn
three credit hours each
for Art History II and
Humanities 202 “The Rise
of Europe” plus credit
in GST. A full-time
native Italian tour host
travels with the group
and helps bring the trip
alive to the 25 students
taking advantage of this
unique traveling
opportunity.
Class
credit includes Art
History II, Humanities
202 and GST 251.
